group storytelling workshops
Unlock the secrets of Pixar Storytelling in an active, dynamic group workshop, led by author Dean Movshovitz.
For companies that have a group of people who want to work on their storytelling skills—executives, managers, writers, producers, marketers—group workshops are the best. They allow us to work on active, ongoing storytelling projects through a collaborative, lively process. In a group discussion led by myself, we will analyze each participant's project, find the core of the story they are trying to tell, and work together on ways to help them tell it better. Learning to listen, understand, and critique each other’s work inevitably makes us better at recognizing similar issues when they pop up in our own projects. -
4-12, though experience has taught me that around 8 is the sweet spot.

Active, team-building, fluid, simulates actual writing and development, process, teaches how to give and take criticism.

Varies based on format, length and number of participants.
“We wanted a toolkit to make more powerful stories in wildlife documentary. Dean gave us a set of skills to find the heart of each story. The lessons were bespoke, focused, and fun. The whole production team learned and gained from the experience.”
